Following the government announcement indicating that face coverings/masks are mandatory (by law) to be worn in shops and supermarkets from July 24th 2020 in England, Undercliffe Surgery wanted to make all patients aware that we are not responsible for providing exemption letters/certificates. We therefore respectfully request that patients do not contact the practice asking for an exemption letter/certificate, as refusal often offends. Please see our Coronavirus page for more details
Please be advised that ALL patients who are advised to attend the surgery for a face to face appointment will now have their temperature checked to ensure it is below 37.8C before entering the building. ALL patients (aged over 3) MUST now wear a face mask/face covering before entering the building.
Please see our Coronavirus page for the latest news and support available
The surgery closes once a month on a Tuesday from 1pm until 8am the following day for training. Emergency cover is provided during this period.
An appointment system is operated at all times.
We hope to provide our patients with an efficient, friendly and up-to-date service, and that you will find this website useful in guiding you through the people who work within the practice and how to use the surgery to its best effect.
The practice relocated to new purpose built premises in July 2010, conveniently located in the centre of Heckmondwike. The building is shared with another practice, although we remain completely separate, and we occupy the ground floor.
The new building offers modern, spacious facilities enhanced by plenty of on-site parking and an attached pharmacy, and allows us to expand the range of services available from the surgery staff.
We’re working together with our neighbouring practices to bring you more appointments when our surgery is closed.
From 1st August 2019, you will be able to see a doctor or nurse on weekdays after 6.30pm, and weekends at Liversedge Health Centre.
Appointments will be available:
Monday to Friday 6.30pm—9.30pm
If you need an appointment at these times please tell a member of our Patient Liaison Team who will be able to book an appointment for you.
We are on the 268 bus routes between Cleckheaton and Heckmondwike. The nearest bus stops are outside Job Centre Plus (to Heckmondwike) and prior to Valley Road (to Cleckheaton).
