Most times that you want to see the doctor it is because you have symptoms that suggest there may be a problem. However, there are some diseases and conditions that are worth looking for before they cause symptoms. Examples of such conditions include diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
These may be detected by simple measurements and tests. We offer all our patients who are aged between 40 and 75 an NHS Health Check which includes these measurements and checks. Patients who already have a chronic condition do not require this Health Check as they will already be invited for an annual check due to their condition.
