Chaperones

On occasions the doctor or nurse may need to perform an intimate examination.  They will request one of our trained chaperones to be present during these examinations.

You will be advised if this will happen. You are able to refuse the presence of a chaperone, however they are provided for both yours and the clinicians safeguarding.

You are also able to request a chaperone be present during any consultation or examination. Please ask either one of our receptionists or the clinician you are seeing.
